Aveo Pharmaceuticals commenced trading on the Nasdaq Global Market on Friday. The stock trades under the ticker symbol "AVEO".
Aveo, a biotechnology company which develops cancer therapies, found its initial public offering priced below expectations. Aveo hoped to sell 7 million shares at between $13 and $15 each but ended up moving 9 million shares at $9 each, raising $81 million.
Shares of Aveo Pharmaceuticals (NASDAQ AVEO) closed at $8.99 down 0.11%.
